Temporal Anomalies In Movies Explained

I just had the pleasure of watching "Twelve Monkeys" again. It was shown on cable TV and it was broadcast with unbelievably annoying adverts. I just can't believe how much a time sink it is to watch a full length movie with adverts. Well anyway, I was dumb enough to waste my time, sometimes you see a snippet and you just got to finish it. You know, gestalt thinking. Anyway, I really needed to see it again because the first time I wasn't able to catch how it really concluded.
(Spoiler alert, don't read pass this!) It turns out one of the scientists from the future was there in the end to provide "insurance". I missed that little blurb when I first watched it. Anyway, I was still a bit curious how other people interpreted the conclusion, so I did some "googling".
I found this incredibly detailed site that analyzes in detail temporal anomalies in time travel movies. The author uses a multiple time stream formulation to explain the logic behind time travel. He then tries to figure out and fix anomolies found in time travel movies. It's quite an entertaining read. In fact, a must read for anyone trying to grasp some kind of logic behind a time travel script.
