Java Rules Engines

OK, why did you remove Jess? It's 100% Java and free for academic or government use. It's only $100 for non-commercial use. And that includes source code. ???

Because JESS is not Open Source

I suspect he removed it because the title of the page is "Open Source Rule Engines Written In Java" and JESS clearly is not Open Source.

Jess is not Free for Gov't use

I emailed the contact person for Jess licensing; Jess is not free for government use. They want to sell it to the gov't (my client wants to use an open source solution.)
