A Lynch Mob against Patent Fillers

I've found this citing ( Where's your Engineer's Honor? )from yet another bogus patent filling. The crux of this patent is that it attempts to create a legal monopoly over liberal RSS feed parsers.

The USPTO has had an infamous legacy of rubber stamping questionable patterns such as an Anti Gravity Device, a Linked List and of course the utterly hilarious Method of Swinging on a Swing. So when the blogosphere gets word of yet another bogus incoming patent, then it rightfully should start a virtual mob to lynch the perpetrators.

However we've got this argument that this patent has not yet awarded yet and merely a filed claim for one. However, isn't it plain obvious by now, as evidenced by a sample of patents awarded in the past, that the USPTO motives for awarding a patent are more of a conspiracy (in cahoots with the patent lawyers) rather than out of plain incompetence.

So for those who have there names etched in this patent, whether it still be just a claim, are in fact acting in connivance. That is, they know full well that they can game the system, and have in fact initiated the act of gaming the system. They cannot simply wash there hands of it. Just to let them know that their actions don't come without consequence, here's the list of bloggers who are part and parcel involved in this activity:

My list of patent fillers is far from complete, however do let me know if you find their blogs.

Just like there's a game to be played in Patent Law, there's also a game to be played in blogging. Yes, this patent's interpretation is technically ambiguous, just as people's interpretation of one's involvment may be equally ambiguous. Yet, if one wants to hide behind ambiguity and claim credit, then one should also accept the infamy that equally comes with it. Welcome to the world of RSS, that these folks apparently are staking claim to.
