One Kick-Ass Global Visualization Applet

Hope you remember my reference to the "Baby Name Voyager" applet. It was a brilliant design that leveraged demographic information to help find a name for a baby. Well, I found yet another applet that has a lot of potential visualizing demographic information. Here's how it looks:
The applet is from Infomagnet. This goes on to show that Java applets are not dead quite yet. Furthermore, there's a lot of potential in combining real data with innovative visualizations.
