Can't Be A Respectable Java Developer Without One Of These!

I was having a nightmare of a commute going home yesterday, so I decided to take a break and took a short detour to a favorite hardware store of mine that sells "retro" computers. Not that I buy much from the store, I just like marveling at how little money you need to get a kick-ass server of yesteryear. However this time, I saw some machines that I haven't seen before. Apple PowerMac G4 with MacOS X. Oh boy! I'm not an impulse buyer, but the heck with it, I don't think you can feel like a respectable Java developer these days without one of these:

Even at used prices these things remain to be expensive (style comes at a price). But, you can't fail to wonder at how beautifully these machines have been engineered. These things are works of art and can be rightly displayed in the living room together with that 50" plasma TV that I have my eye on recently. (Unfortunately I bought a 50" rear projection hdtv, that's just as ugly as a PC). Every Java developer needs to one day get in vogue, this is possibly one of the cheapest ways to achieve that goal. Also, you might just learn a thing or two about "design".
My first computer was an Apple II+, loved that 64KB 1 Mhz 6502 wonder, never owned another Apple machine until today!
Update: Here's a related thread over at slashdot.
