Errata for the 101 List

Document Actions

It appears that the list's detractors discovered some more myths about the .NET platform. Andy Oliver discovers the gotchas of running multiple versions of .NET "side by side". Ted Neward discovers the myth of cross platform portability of .NET. Finally, Jason Whittington discovers the myth of cross language support.

I however, have discovered some errors in the list which I am going to correct. These are as follows:

#38 Tag Libraries #39 Embedded Expression Languages #40 Pure Java Script Languages and Embedding #42 Sophisticated Logging via Log4J #87. Dynamic Proxies

I am now looking for some replacements for these, I'm hoping the community may have some good ideas. Some of ideas that I didn't add to the list were:

  • Scalability
  • Support for OODBMS
  • Corba Connectivity
  • More Architecture Options
  • Virus Free Cell Phones
  • More Flexible XML Binding

If you do have a compelling reason that you think needs to be added to the list, please email me.
