If you read the article, you realize that its "context free", in otherwords the thoughts can be applied to just about any technology. Replace "Web services" with "P2P" or "Mobile Gaming" and it'll fit like a glove. It's actually pretty good boilerplate that you can use anytime you need to pitch your next-and-greatest technology.
Also, it forgets one important hurdle, that's "Manageability".
